Seems I’ve run into a few problems..

Yes, they are yet to be proven. The Capitol stopped giving everyone access to such technologies. Some of the brightest minds go to waste just because of where they are born. It’s a shame. The Big Bang Theory was close to being proven. The hadron collider found the higgs boson particle. If they had been given more time and technology they could have proved it.

image

And it’s still not being proven today. We’ve got scientists still working on it.

What’s up, buttercup?

image

Anything I can help with?

Just a few glitches in the flow of lava..

To think I was done.

Seems I’ve run into a few problems..

audreyredwyne:

Oh sweet summer child. You need to brush up on history and social theories.

image

Theories have yet to be proven. They are merely ideas. That is why it is still called the Big Bang Theory. Because it has yet to be proven. And probably never will be. Just like— whatever you’re talking about.

Seems I’ve run into a few problems..

audreyredwyne:

Yes, you’re definitely the uncultured type. The past always has a way of coming back to haunt us. It always repeats itself. No trend or idea is new. They are all repeated. You’ll never create something original or do you not understand postmodernism?

image

See, that is where you are wrong. There is always something to be created that is original. It just…. Has yet to be discovered.

Seems I’ve run into a few problems..

audreyredwyne:

That’s what I thought.

image

Of course not. You seem like the dim witted type. History and culture wouldn’t interest your kind.

I’m not interested in what’s past, I’m interested in what’s present and what is to come. The past doesn’t matter anymore. That. Is why. They call it. The past.

Seems I’ve run into a few problems..

audreyredwyne:

Go ahead. Kill the old lady because she refused to remember your name. Makes you a real tough man, doesn’t it?

image

Oh right, you’re one of those new age people. I bet you’ve never even met someone who was alive during the first rebellion?

………..

I doubt any of them are even alive. I wouldn’t care to meet one, anyway.

Seems I’ve run into a few problems..

audreyredwyne:

Oh and what are you going to do, lad? I’m seventy five years old. I’m bound to die already.

image

I suppose you have enough hair product to kill some baby seals.

Then you wouldn’t mind my making your death early.

It’s only moose. Who cares about baby seals anyway?

Caesar Flickerman: Welcome, thank you. Thank you. Now, I’m sure you have all been waiting /such/ a long time for the Capitol’s announcement. Don’t worry, I have too! Which is why, tonight we have a special treat for your patience. So, please, help me in welcoming our next guest, Gamemaker Alaric Siora.
Alaric: [waves as he walks onto the stage, a small smile firmly planted on his lips.] Hello, Caesar. [He sits down and crosses his legs, waving again to the crowd that's going wild.]
Caesar: Alaric-- can I call you Alaric?
Alaric: Of course /you/ can, Caesar. I haven't a problem with that.
Caesar: Tell us. It must have been hard keeping this all a secret to yourself! Did you end up telling anyone beforehand? Your tongue slip?
Alaric: [laughs.] Me? /Tell/ anyone? Caesar, please. I have better things to do than spoil the surprises. I'm not that kind of man.
Caesar: Really? So does that mean you’re not going to tell us anything about the Arenas now?
Alaric: Do you take me for a fool? If I told you-- /all/ of you about one little detail of any one of the Arenas, I would be whisked away from here and be thrown into a dungeon. [He waves a hand.]
Caesar: We understand, we understand! Did you get to work with your specialties in the Arenas?
Alaric: Now /that/ I can answer. Of course I did. [He says simply with a smug smile.]
Caesar: I think all of us agree that we’d love to know what those are!
Alaric: I will tell you that there is a lot of fire and lava in one of the Arenas. I had to study them for a few months in order to get everything right. It's one of my favourites, personally, but that's all I can tell you!
Caesar: Fascinating! Those are some amazing skills you have. Now—I know we’re all dying to know in here—is there anyone who’s caught your eye? Rubs you the right way?
Alaric: [hesitates for a moment and knows he's hesitated too long because Caesar has caught on and is now leaning in. But he just sits up straighter, forcing himself to calm down and take on that nonchalant look again.] That, my dear Caesar, is personal information-- whether I like someone or not.
Caesar: Aww, come on now, don’t be shy. We’re all friends here, right?
Alaric: [gives him-- and the crowd a tight smile.] No, actually. No, we're not. Not even in the slightest.
Caesar: All right, all right. We can talk about it in private. Well, we know you still have a very busy schedule, and we appreciate your time with us, Alaric. Ladies and gentlemen, Gamemaker Alaric Siora!

audreyredwyne:

If you don’t like sweetie I can start calling you something a lot worse.

I’m sure you’re one wind storm away from looking just like one of them.

My name is Alaric Siora, and it is in your best interest to remember it.

No. I’m not.

Oh, sweetie.

Don’t. Call me sweetie.

It’s better than whatever the hell other citizens where these days.
